Niall Haslam, CTO at axial3D, to join Royal Academy of Engineering SME Leaders Program

Axial3D’s Chief Technology Officer, Niall Haslam, is to join ten engineering innovators on the 2019 intake of Royal Academy of Engineering’s Enterprise Hub SME Leaders Program.

The SME Leaders program celebrates leaders in engineering, working on technologies that are set to disrupt a wide range of sectors, from healthcare to cyber-security and space technology. It offers members £10,000 to spend on training, masterclasses, coaching and development opportunities, and access to the Academy’s Fellowship - a network of over 1,500 engineering and business experts.

Speaking about the Program, Niall said, “I’m really proud to be part of this initiative from the Royal Academy of Engineers. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills needed to grow and scale from the UK to a global audience. As axial3D expands its research and development, we need the right skills and culture to maintain our innovative product development pipeline.”

Niall leads a growing team of engineers at axial3D, who design and develop the solutions that surgeons are using worldwide to drastically save time in theatre and enhance patient consent. Globally, over 3 million complex surgical cases could benefit from the solutions that axial3D provides.

With axial3D’s ambitious plans to make 3D printing more accessible to the global healthcare sector, Niall plans to support the development of the team and manage growth by nurturing a culture of innovation.

Since it’s launch, 32 leaders in engineering have benefitted from the SME Leaders Program, which has helped to unlock investment, prepare organizations for growth, and establish compelling company cultures to attract the best talent.

The Royal Academy of Engineering’s Enterprise Hub is committed to stimulating excellence and promoting creativity and innovation in engineering. The Hub achieves this by providing mentoring and support to the leaders of tomorrow’s high-tech companies.
