Axial3D is recruiting a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to join an experienced engineering team already in place.

As an Axial3D Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, you will be embedded in agile multidisciplinary teams and responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing, automation, and continuous process improvement. This role requires a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in the context of medical device development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering a flawless user experience.

The Role

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated test approaches, plans, test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications.
• Identify and document software defects using defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Perform various types of testing including functional, integration, system, performance and load testing.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure quality throughout the entire SDLC.
• Establish, develop and maintain automated test suites for regression, functional, and performance testing using appropriate frameworks and tools.
• Continuously improve test automation processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Generate and maintain key Verification & Validation documentation in line with ISO 13485, regulatory requirements and Axial3D internal Quality Management System.
• Provide clear and timely reporting on test automation progress and coverage

About You

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to join our development team. You will be an individual with strong interpersonal skills, who likes working in a delivery focused, agile environment with multidisciplinary teams. 

For this opportunity you should have:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Test Automation or a related role 
• Strong Proficiency in writing test plans, test cases, and developing automated tests which run as part of a CI/CD pipeline
• Hands-on experience with browser based test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress).
• Experience with API testing tools
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

It’s a bonus if you have: 

• Previous experience working in a medical device or regulated industry
• Experience with DICOM processing, imaging or 3D technologies. 
• Previous experience in an early or mid-stage company 

This is a hybrid role based out of our Belfast HQ, Northern Ireland.
