Struggles of diagnostics
For the last 40 years, physician teams have had to rely on 2D X-ray, MRI, and CT imaging to try to accurately diagnose their patients’ conditions. In spite of their skills and experience, too often the 2D images are not sufficiently clear or precise to enable this level of diagnostic accuracy to be possible, so it is only when the patient is finally being operated on when there is that required certainty of diagnosis.

Whilst some of these inventions are inspiring, they typically rely on time-consuming and nonscalable workflows that are expensive or completely unsuitable for high volume or acute diagnostic settings, meaning they are not the standard of care for most patients and their pathologies.
