Sports Fusion and Axial3D crowdfund PPE for key healthcare workers

Sports Fusion and Axial3D have teamed up to crowdfund £10,000, enabling the production and shipping of face shields for healthcare workers amid a shortage of PPE in the battle against COVID-19.

Sports Fusion, a leading sports-tech company in the UK, supports sports and leisure businesses with a range of technology solutions and consultancy services. The firm works with many well-known sporting teams, such as Arsenal Football Club, Liverpool Football Club and Lord’s Cricket Ground. With the current hold on all major sporting events across the country during an unprecedented lockdown, Sports Fusion is now turning its hand to support our front line healthcare workers.

The impending shortages of PPE across the United Kingdom dominated the headlines in the fight against COVID-19. Sports Fusion partnered with Axial3D to devise a logistics chain that guarantees the dispatch of protective face shields quickly and directly to the front line.

Each shield will be dispatched within 48 hours and will ideally be in use within 72 hours – no bureaucracy, no warehouses, no delays – you donate, we ship. Shields will be delivered directly to those who need them the most, in particular to care homes, charities and GPs
