Update: Since posting on 24th March 2020, we have made progress with our response to COVID-19. This includes crowdfunding face shields for front line workers, building Rapidly Manufactured Ventilator Systems with a consortium of NI companies, 3D printing swabs and many other projects.

The global COVID-19 pandemic is truly upon us all. Our friends and colleagues working in hospitals and health care systems across the world now require the most serious responses from every one of us, as individuals, and as organizations in the weeks ahead.

Over the course of the last few weeks, our team has been working with our customers and partners to understand how our 3D print facilities and expertise can be of most value in the current crisis. We are currently evaluating and prototyping various 3D printed devices, parts and equipment that will be essential in tackling the COVID-19 outbreak.

This includes 3D printing parts for:

  • COVID-19 test kits
  • Swabs
  • Masks
  • Ventilators

In this context, I am reaching out to you, our network, to ask for your help. If you are aware of any COVID-19 related initiatives that require 3D printed parts, or you have access to 3D printers and are willing to support our efforts, please reach out contact@axial3D.com or call +44 2890 183 590.

In addition to prioritizing our production line to allow us to maximize the numbers of these parts that we can print, I also want to assure you that we have implemented full measures at Axial3D to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers during this time. These will be updated on-going as government guidelines evolve.

By making these small adjustments to how we work, Axial3D can continue to support our colleagues in hospitals and health care systems when they need us most. I also want you to be assured that we are very much here as normal for anyone who requires 3D anatomical models, and they can be requested 24/7 by clicking the button at the bottom!

I fully understand the need, especially in these times, for complex and critical surgeries to continue as much as is possible, without interruption from COVID-19, so we will continue to ensure that we maintain capacity to provide you with anatomical models for your surgical planning that I know you often depend on.

I realize in these unique times we are all going to face some of the greatest personal and professional challenges of our lives. Axial3D is committed to supporting you through these times and together we can help to show the true meaning of humanity.

Stay safe and healthy.
